Taken on Oct 23, 2011. We had so much fun at the pumpkin patch the previous week that we decided to go apple picking at Echo Hill Orchards and Winery.
Unfortunately, we went pretty late in the season and almost all the apples were either rotten on the ground or too high up in the trees to pick. This is where we got most of our apples.
Harvey seemed to enjoy his first taste of a whole apple (non-pureed, I mean, heh-heh)
There were some nice-looking apples up on the top branches, but even some of the other apple pickers, who came with long sticks for poking at the apples (next year we'll know to bring some, too!) couldn't reach them. Hao was brave enough to actually climb some trees just to pick one for Harvey.
As we sat in the huge and bumpy wagons hitched to the tractor on the way back to the orchard, we passed by some of their Halloween decor.
Their pumpkin patch was also picked dry.
Ah, one of the best parts of the day. Apple cider donuts and hot apple cider. Mmmm...I want some again right now.
Next year we're definitely going earlier in the season.
